I'm done a bit of searching on the site, and can't seem to find a reference or answer to my question. So if you've heard it all before I apologize in advance.

So to the question....can anyone tell me if the PVR and GemStar is on the Canadian ES8000, and if it can/has be activated without issue? If so what are the steps to doing this. And that being the case can the Samsung PVR record OTA digital signals?

As the rule, here was no PVR on USA models before. Samsung's politic. On D series it was enough to change to Korean local set in service menu to get PVR enabled. How about E series? No clue...

what is full tv model and what is firmware name/version?
