UE46D6750 - brightness issue and samygo question

Hello everyone! My TV model is UE46D6750WS and I have a couple of questions.
First off, there seems to be a problem that annoyed me for so long - TV adjusts brightness on the fly depending on overall brightness of the picture it is supposed to display. No matter if its TV or movie files from usb drive. Seems like I am stuck with this "feature" because I could not find any setting that would limit this "dimming" or disable it. It is really annoying
Another thing I would like to ask you about is SamyGo. Soon I'll be getting a CI module from my cable tv provider and I would like to record programs on external drive. The thing is - I don't want my recordings to be encrypted (scrambled). I know that with SamyGo I can switch it off but I am not sure. Tech info provided by samygo wiki is excessive for me and I do not know if I am skilled enogh to manage such an operation like interfering with my TVs software. Fankly I do not even know if it is possible on UE46D6750WS
Last thing - what hdd drive should I use? Are usb powered 2,5 inch external drives sufficient? Or should I get a desktop standard 7200 RPM 3,5inch drive with external power supply?
Sorry if this goes in bad section and please excuse my english, it's not my native language.
