Please Help !
my current version is "2013/05/16_001032" and i dont know what can i do,,i try the dns 149.154.159.134 on the player and on the router and all that receive is the code error 800. the ping is well from my computer, i cold reset the player and the router many times and nothing...
and the cinavia thing is drive me crazy im so close to drop this player away !!

the dns 46.4.199.222 is not working, i have the error 601

Check again (dns 149.154.159.134 ). If fail, then no solution.

Same problem, with recommended DNS I get Error 800, wonder why no other suggestion is given here on this forum as to try it again and again. Maybe it is time to think about a dedicated NAS, thats the only solution I can think of.

Will see and post back if someone finds a soution on Error 800 for BD D5500, so far I found none on the net...

I have the same problem,...Error 800. I made the mistake of allowing "update in stand-by mode" downloaded update of 1030 and totally buggered my BD-D5500 3D-BluRay Player. The drawer keeps opening and closing until you can get it into "Update mode" . Once in update mode all malfunctions stop,...So I know this is a software / firmware failure. I did try downgrading to 1015 without success, Error 800. The player will play any disc, DVD, BluRay, CD for about 1 min and 15 seconds then stops and opens the tray! If left without a disc in the player, the drawer opens and closed erratically, sometimes not even closing all the way before reversing direction. This continues until you shut it off. Also the "eject" touch panel button does not function. It will respond to remote commands.

when I go to the site 149.154.159.134 it shows" Infolink server building %80... " Is it stuck or something? Maybe re-set it?

Great work Samsung! You have effed' up a perfectly operating player! I only play factory manufactured legal discs, e.g. CD, DVD, BluRay, 3D...But NOW,...Thanks to unbridled stupidity on you company's part, my player will not play anything! IDIOTS!

Possible solutions????? Too big for a paperweight, too small, even if filled with concrete for an anchor,...Hmmmm,...Maybe a door-stop,..Ya'!, Thats the ticket! With the name Samsung prominently displayed to encourage many questions from visitors as to "Why do you have a SAMSUNG DISC PLAYER as a door stop?"
