Get myself a Exlink cable

I have been reading this wiki :-

http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Ex-Lin ... BD_players

I wonder if this will be a cable suitable for me to use :-

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1pcs-PL2303hx-u ... 9016?rt=nc

On the TTL side all that I need is to solder a DB15 (VGA) connect to it.

Is my understanding correct ? ( I don't want to blow my TV's circuit board ! )

Replying to my own post :-

As it seems after reading further posts on the net, these things floating on the online purchase stores are not really going to be truely TTL on the other end.

One of these posts is this :-

I guess one might have to really measure it to know if it is truely shifted down to TTL 3.3, or maybe it is 5v as taken directly from the USB side.

Sorry for being long winded because I am not really a electrical/electronic person.

You mean if the VCC is not connected, then it will be TTL 3.3v compatible ?

My TV the Ex-link port is the VGA connector. I cannot run away from doing soldering.
