Hi, I'm very sorry about this being my first time posting here, but I recently bought a Samsung F5500 series 46 inch Smart TV, and, I can't regret more, today I started checking the service menu looking for a way to reset network settings (had a different problem now solved with the unintended factory reset).
Long story short, I believe I've accidentally changed the TV's model, now service menu says something like F6400 in service menu. I don't care about the model, the big problem I have is that now all menus are in english (I'm from Argentina, so I'm looking for Spanish menus) and the only options I can choose from in setup are Australia or New Zealand.
Just before this issue, the TV rebooted with the screen rotated 180? and then white screen. I rushed to the power wire and unplugged it. Then, this.

Already tried changing the local set and type from the service menu, (as the tv asks after first boot) but those are greyed out, and, of course I don't have (or know of) any IR blaster whatsoever.
Also already tried ruSTVC but menu remains gray. How was I able to change the region with no additional equipment, and now I need to use alternative ways to get it back to stock? I don't get it.
I'm terrified, did I change a read only setting? Can it be reverted? I believe the TV is still on warranty, but I'd like to fix this by myself.

Well, should anyone encounter the same problem, here's how I managed to fix it:
My TV published model number is UN46F5500AGCDF?. First I bought a 3.5mm headphone jack and 2 Infrared leds, wired them as explained here then followed this tutorial with a notebook with Ubuntu installed, after trying on my Samsung Galaxy S3 and a Lenovo Yoga with Windows to no avail, and voil?.
(Your audio device needs to have enough amplification to power the leds, otherwise it won't work. You should be able to workaround this by using a more powerful device or by using an external amplifier, though I haven't tried this method).
Keep in mind, the first time I tried it the screen blinked to many colors (red, white, green), while I could still hear the audio, and the only way to stop it from doing that was pressing the "Exit" button, which took me out of the Service Menu. I tried it again and then it worked. I did the steps thru 1 to 5 and that was it. Didn't need to do the remaining ones, as, without turning the TV on and off, Local Set got enabled.
Be specially careful at this point, because you can brick your TV by setting the wrong panel code.
I set the "Local Set" to ARG_DTV, which is my current region, then "Model" again to UF5500, and finally the "Type" (Panel Type), which I managed to find out was 46A1AF0S. I got to this conclusion after reading this reference codes.
Hope this helps everyone who trips with the same rock I did just by being curious.
