Just a random thought: When you connect a AVR to your Samsung tv via HDMI, the two devices can communicate some basic commands over the CEC protocol. For example, you can use the regular Samsung tv remote to change the volume of the AVR.
However, when the tv sends the "change volume" command to the AVR, the tv also displays an annoying, animated graphic on the screen - which blocks view of the actual AVR gui that is being displayed underneath the Samsung UI.
Is there a way to somehow deactivate this CEC overlay on the tv? Maybe with a patch or a setting in the service menu?
Patch possible? Deactivate CEC overlay

I do NOT support "latest fw" at ALL. If you have one you should block updates on router and wait for it to STOP being "latest":)
