Hello All,

Was wondering if anyone had a main board for a Samsung HG40NC690DF? I've looked on ebay, but nothing. These are very new tv's. The main board part# is BN94-0746E.

All the tv does, is double blink 5 times, then pauses, then does it again. No picture or sound. I disconnected the thin cable from main board to power board...the backlight pops on. So i am figuring the problem lies with the m.b.

I already tried the eeprom trick, and still only blinks on the power LED....so i'm guessing the m.b. is fried

Hi, look at your mainboard if it has corrupt electrolytic capacitors. This is the most reason for a blinking Samsung TV.

Take a photo of your mainboard and send it in your thread

I took some pics of the main board, and also the power and tcon boards.

After some further researching....does this board have 2 eeproms. ic901(s24c51) and ic902(s24c02)?!? I hope i didn't short out the wrong one!!! Why can't samsung label the eeprom chip, with the name "eeprom"...Lol

The only capacitors i saw were on the power board. They looked good to me. I am not sure what the electrolytic capacitors look like, on the main board...

Are you hearing a click if you turn on your TV?

Nope...No clicking at all.

At first there was the smart tv logo loop, every few seconds. But it hasn't even done that lately.

Why don't you claim the warranty if it's a brand new TV? Did you steal it?

Lol...got it off of ebay. That's what i was going to do next, is calling samsung....if i couldn't be able to fix. Btw, what is samsungs warranty #?

Nevermind...samsung most likely will not do warranty, if tv was bought off of ebay!!

The best option is to buy a new TV, you can get a new 40 Inch from Samsung for 400 - 500 Dollar or Euro
