Record From H Series

If you don?t need to record in HD, you can use the Scart-output ( analog 720x576 ) and a converter to save Movies to your Computer.
You can use Virtualdub as recording software. Playback result on TV is pretty acceptable. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Nice 1990's workaround :P
Then you can even encode in MPEG1 and burn Video-CDs :D

We want root on H series!... To be able to save recordings on our PCs :-)

A hack to record / output over hdmi , component would be be nice, I suppose both are hdcp protected though.
I'm guessing scart output is blocked for apps? just dvb-t/2?

And it would first need an HDMI out on TV. :) HDMI is not bidirectional as SCART was (except for ARC audio)

Yes, only internal tuners. Neither apps nor external sources

The same. Look behind your TV, every plug where you read "IN" is not an output :)
