SCART --> sound to DVD speakers

I have old Samsung DVD player with external speakers.

I can connect my UE40h6400 to this DVD via SCART to ARC (analog sound transmission)

The sound is transmitted only for TV channels, when I switch to applications the sound is not transmitted via SCART (analog).

Pls can you help me ?

Looks like Samsung wants us to buy new DVD player with digital sound input.
