Update bricked my tv... ?

Hi All

I'm new to this site, however im not new to "hacking" devices and im working with IT and hardware on daily basis.

However I've in a bit of a doubt about what and why my tv is acting as it does, I tried samsung support where the first thing he tells me is that there is no computer in a samsung tv and from there it was only uphill.

From the top.

I bough the tv in june 2012 its a UE55ES8005 danish model. I set it up and connect it to my wireless network and everything is fine. Efter a while i start getting problems in the regard of my wifi. The Tv will not connect to the internet (it can resolve my IP just fine) and thus i cant update and i keep getting an error code in my Smart Hub.

I then switch to wire Lan and everything is back to working status, though only for a while again. Where after I try setting a static IP address and its now working again and have been running like that for the better part of last year until yesterday.

Yesterday my IPs had a fallout of my internet service, and when it came back my tv started updating. After this update i entered my Smart Hub and it starte instilling weird langauge programs from differnet contries. I tried reloading the Smart Hub with my own langauge but now noticed that i couldn't get any internet access.

When I enter my internet settings with a wired cable i can just fine resolve my IP but it will not connect, If i dissconnect my cable and try the wirelss it just hangs when it press "Start".

However if I turn off my TV and back on and quickly enter the menu and internet settings and start seraching for wireless I can get as far as to see what it finds where it the crases (well not back to desktop) back out of the menu system, and I have no possiblity to set it to my wireless. This is only possible within the first minute or so after that it just hangs when I try to search for wireless.

I tired to get the latest firmware from samsung and load it to a USB key.
But somhow the Tv cant find it on this key (I can see the .img files by browsing through with the picture browser on the tv).

What i summized is that something must have gone wrong during the update process and thus broke the software somhow.

Any thoughts on what my problems is ?.
I'm thinking that either i need to send my tv to a tech or reprogram it my self, the latter is more appealing than the former.

Ps pleas ask if there is anything i can clear up, there are a few small subbelties in the above mentioned problem.
Regards

Update.

Yesterday I tried to monitor my tv's nettraffic and could see that it acturaly connects with some servers even though, when testing the inet connection through the tv it tells me that there are no internet connection.

I also again tried regardless of the results of the connect, to login on my account in smart hub and to my supprise i was able to. However i am still unable to access any apps requireing internet connect due to I get the "No network avaialable".

I talked with yet another Samsung supporter today (I did get a 5 years full garantie on my tv). And now he tells me that Samsung have had server problems the last few days and I should try and recoonect again tonite. DUH!!

Why the hell do i need to call them multiple time to get a pice of information like that. I would beleve it to be the first think you say to your customers when they say that they cant get on the internet.

To be continued :)
