Help with UE40D5000

Post by Yahnsolo »

Hello folks!

I have a UE40D5000 that worked like a charm for 4 years.
Moved from France to Brasil in 2014 with it, no problem. It worked here this whole year until this month...

One day it became dark after 10 minuts of use. Led blinks 6 times on power on.
I never flashed my TV yet, it's stock. Maybe if i can solve this issue i'll try :)

But well... Someone can help me? I really what those 6 blinks mean.

Model : UE40D5000
PSUboard: BN44-00422B - REV1.3
MainBoard: BN94-05072E - D27Q
LCD panel: LD40BGD-V1

Problem is not from the psu, since voltages are good... Capacitors looks like new, no juice, and they have been tested with a Fluke Graphic Multimeter (no chinese crappy meter).

1- B5V : 5,350v
2- SW_P: 3,586v
3- B5V: 5,350v
4- A5V: 5,359v
5-6-8 GND : 0v
7- B12V: 12,703v
9- B12V: 12,703v
10- SW_I: 0,052v
11- B13V: 12,684
12- H_O: Not Connected
13- B13V: 12,684v
14- PWM: 0,079v

EDGE LED are OK; when i unplug the CNM803 (psu to Mb) backlight starts normally.

I also have tested the voltages on the MainBoard. Don't have schematics off course, but i know enough my electronics to know my advanced basics.

Around CPU and RAM i find 3,335v / 2,493v / 1,515v and 1,127v (seems legit on this part)
Close to the tuner 7809 and 7805 provides 9,023v and 5,025v, and heats in the good proportion, so they are OK
Tuner heats normally, so does MTP amp, both RAM chips and main CPU. Everybody looks powered and ready to work...
T-Con board looks working normal also. 12v coming in

BUT, i have a problem on CN1201 (going to the front touch buttons and LED), pin3 - A5V only shows 3,3v (instead of 5,359v that should be on A5V)
CN1201 connected OR NOT, same value. So problem comes really from MainBoard.

So, what should i expect?? Bus problem? Firmware corrupt (i tend to think it is)? Maybe dead Eprom, or scheduled death by samsung?

So, any idea? I would be glad to have some cents from you guys! Jut want to save my TV....

PS: Since i don't live in europe anymore, i think maybe about buying the local MainBoard for the equivalent, that use the SAME LCD panel: LD40BGD-V1.
Can someone confirm the equivalent for south America: UN40D5xxx ?
Found Bn91-06362w / Bn41-01747a as really close equivalent (but more recent)
If i buy one of these, will i have reversed image problem or sth like that?

Found also even more similar BN41-01595D... Same question....

Thanks in advance!
