I read somewhere that the DLNA playback on a LE40C650 TV supports quick FW and Backwards operation equal to when you play from the USB drive but from the many video formats I tried none worked.

Is that really possible or with DLNA you don't get the same functionality as from USB drive playback? [yes, I know about rooting and using some tricks to support it, just asking from the "default options"]

by default the media compatibility is much higher for playback from usb

yes, I'm talking about the FW controls that allow you to jump to the middle of the movie, not compatibility of formats

IIRC it depends on the DLNA(UPNP) server settings, if you can jump/fwd/rwd, when i was using mediatomb i had one setting that allowed transcoding and another that allowed fwd/rwd
