Hello people, I know that this information is reported also somewhere else but I cannot find it.
I want to downgrade my F8000 to T-FXPDEUC_1115.0 (latest "Skype" rootable) but I do not want to loose the personalization I have done after root.
Could someone tell me what shall I do ?
I know there is a file somewhere to be copied and to be substituted in the rooting app but I do not remember the details.

Thanks for help.

Just save your current samyext4.img and replace it in installation widget :)

Thanks zoelechat ; more in detail I take the file from

Code: Select all

/mtd_rwcommon/widgets/user/SamyGO/data
and I substitute the one in the widget and after that I make the normal install.
And in my F8000 I have to take the one in the USB

Code: Select all

/dtv/usb/sda1/SamyGO_data/
Right ?

mmmh no? :)
-Save your current USB/SamyGO_data/samyext4.img
-REPLACE it in Skype root's SamyGO.zip BEFORE installation. Once installed you won't be able to replace it (in /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/user/SamyGO/data) because it will be "in use".

Moved to F Support, henceforth only releases are allowed in Software section...

That's what I thought too but I had no trouble overwriting the img file with a modified one even while in use.

I'd say it depends on how many and which resident libs you're using. Anticipate is better advice :)
