OK, now I tried it with a virtual machine with XP - no rection (tried two different cables, putty and hyperterminal). I have got no reaction from the tv (debug mod is on).
Then I tried it with an old PC with XP - same results (means no results at all).

I think I have to give it up.

Yes, of course. But I get the hyroglyphes even without a connnection to tv: Just plug in the exlink to my laptop and starting putty.

OK, now I have made such a exlink cable. But it seems that I got problems installing a driver. I am using win7/64. That one in the download area is not working and that one delivered with the cable gives me just some hyroglyphes.
