Problems installing SamyGO-Ext. at UE32C6700

Post by ahab »

Hello,

For several days I tried desperately to apply the Samy-Go extensions to my UE32C6700.

Because it was impossible with the original T-VALDEUC_3009.2, I made a downgrade to 3008.3 using the "zero-FW". Then I used the "network_opt_18.02.2011_1.zip"-Method. With this I managed to get permanent access via ftp and telnet, but not more.

Next try: Downgrade to 3005.1 (current status), hack per widget (C-HACK.7z), but nothing really changed. Now works ftp and telnet, but no ssh. On the USB stick I have the folder "SamyGO", with integrated fix-v0.03.6-r15 and SamyGO-libs-T-VALDEUC-20110123101934.
If I start the script "run.sh" via telnet it finds a new, virtual USB-drive as a second USB drive, writes a "ScriptOK" and a "rcSGO_out" in which some errors are shown.
And when I look at it via ftp, there I have a "sda1" (SamyGO therein) and a new "sdb" (with a folder called "upnp").
And there is only USB flash drive (FAT32) on the TV.

Here is the content of these "rcSGO_out":
sed: / dtv / usb / log: No such file or directory
/ Dtv/usb/sda1/SamyGO/etc/init.d/01_01_catch_crap.init: line 27: .. / / bin / busybox:.. Not found

And the files are really not inside the SamyGO. May I have a wrong version?

Maybe someone can see what I'm doing wrong ...

Where should I see the extension at the C-series? As with the B-series as "content"?

Last question: I also have a UE60D8090 and UE42ES6300. Can you make these two also what in this direction (SamyGo-Ext.)?

Thank you in advance of a complete Linux-Dummy and sorry for my poor English!

get last "All-Extensions" for valencia (it's r12)
extract SamyGO-All-Extensions-Bugfix-v0.03.6-r15-for-valencia-20111001120232.zip over it
and then extract SamyGO-libs-T-VALDEUC-20110123101934.zip
the enable/disable what you like to [not]use

Thank you for your response. I thought that I have done it exactly that way. But I did it again in that order and now its different: It doesn't boot a new virtual device and the content of "rcSGO_out" is now only:
/dtv/usb/sda1/run.sh: line 4: /dtv/usb/sda1/SamyGO/rcSGO: not found
the enable/disable what you like to [not]use
How?
Where should I see the extension at the C-series? As with the B-series as "content"?
And I have still no access via SSH with putty: Network error: Connection refused

for the internet hack, the start-up script is run.sh, for the universal usb hack the start-up script is SamyGO.sh. You can check in wiki how to enable/disable features in samygo.

I now spent over 40 hours and reached (almost) nothing.

There are hundreds of instructions that are contradictory to some extent. Some seem to a Dummy like me easy, some are pure horror.

I have achieved: FTP and Telnet access and integrate ae network drive.I uploaded the FW 3005.1.
I have a USB flash drive with a folder "SamyGO" (all files) and a run.sh. I thought that's enough.
I wrote some files according to instructions (SamyGO.sh, exeDSP.sh, mount.sh), in very many different versions. All unsuccessful.

I still I don't know where in the C series, the extensions should appear (in the B-series is probably at "Content"), but where in the C-series?
I'm really desperate on, I'm only surprised that my television is still working.

Are there anywhere universal, easy to understand instructions, possibly with the necessary files to make it able to install it, even for a dummy like me?

If you use universal usb disk hack you have to edit file SamyGO.sh and write this in it

Code: Select all

!/bin/sh
touch $1/ScriptOK
sync
rm -f /mtd_rwarea/profile
$1/SamyGO/rcSGO $1/SamyGO > $1/rcSGO_out 2>&1 &
the extensions are stored on the usb in the SamyGO dir and that's all
On c series if the extension work you see appear on the media player menu a virtual usb called "samygo virt. usb"
to turn on or off various extensions you have to modify the script file stored on SamyGO\etc\init.d in this directory files with extension *.dis are disabled other with extension *.init are enabled.
Some of this script need manually configuration so you have to edit it with notepad plus for example.
read here sections "Components, Design and Structure"
the c series now is obsolete and the developer of this project forgive this series now exisist only the d series.

When you did the universal hack, did you execute:
cp $OPT_DIR/usr/restore/start.sh /mtd_rwarea/start.sh
?
As I see you already hacked your TV with the universal usb hack. So, you will be not able to do the internet widget hack on 3005.1 until you format /mtd_rwarea/ to reset USB hack. So, do not mess with firmware downgrades and rehacks.

@greenhorn: Thank you again for your assistance.

So, please tell me how to format /mtd_rwarea/

I made so many changes, One time I had got the "samygo virt. usb", but now its gone again.

Is it possible to reset all the changes I have done to start over again from the beginning?

yes, you can make. All you need is this wiki article:
http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Ex-Lin ... BD_players
Read carefully all the article before you start. This is your last easy chance to fix it :)

Dear greenhorn, thank you for your patience.

Ok, so I will try to make a reset with such a Ex-Link Cable. I wll get it in a few days.

But, to get not in such troubles again, would you be so kind to give me some hints?

First, which firmware shall I use? 3005.1 (with the widget-crack), 3008.3 (with network_opt_18.02.2011_1.zip) or some other?

What do I need? A "run.sh" or a "SamyGO.sh", what should be exactly inside of that file and where do I have to put it.

Thanks for all and greetings from Austria,
ahab
