Hi you don't needed to apply any update to T-CHUCIPDEUC 3000.0, I don't know what things are changed but if you wanted to update it, you can use firmware from our old & good firmwares wiki page.
Here is the link to that firmware
you can use keyboard & mouse applet before starting NetSurf to have keyboard and mouse surfing.

YOU DON'T NEED ANY UPDATE.kjs1 wrote:Hi erdem_ua,If I understand correctly I need to update my version T-CHUCIPDEUC-2006 to T-CHUCIPDEUC-3000.0

Sure, if you are comfortable with your firmware.
Normally, you just needed to use your countrys samsung firmware page but that firmware is newer than 3000.0. So If you update with it, than your TV will be restricted....
I think it's same firmware with yours. But no one knows exactly. Firmware will work for your TV but i guess there is %0.1 problem if it's not. there is always risk even if you download firmware from Samsung's own page.
Please backup your flash before committing any update
Copy all of your flash partitions (with dd) to USB disk and keep them at your PC...
If any bad thing happen, it's really useful to have that backup!

Dear kjs1,
You don't need both extensions and mouse&keyboard.
The extensions package holds the drivers for mouse and keyboard, and a whole lot of other stuff, (and installs a password file permanently on your tv). The mouse and keyboard package just installs drivers for those two, nothing else. Everything is installed in memory, so after shutdown of your TV everything vanishes, and you will have to run the "game" apps again.
Firmware upgrades are not necessary for these packages to work. A "normal" firmware upgrade just holds the software that drives the user-interface of the TV. The linux kernel (the core of the tv's operating system) does not get replaced, so kernel modules (drivers) do not require a firmware upgrade to be able to run properly.

Dear kjs1,
Could you telnet into your TV, execute step #7 of your protocol (Keyboard and mouse extensions) and post the last bit of output as generated by issueing the dmesg command?
In my TV this gives:
You should see something similar (with probably another keyboard). If not, your modules are probably not loaded properly, if yes, there might be issues with the device special files (stuff in /dev) needed for some hardware to work (I had problems with that).
