Sound switching available with red button at DCA v.3
Please read the readme file in new version of SamyGO DCA applet for CPU problems. Could solved via deletion of libdca

Yes I do have v.3 installed and read readme, but the RED button doesn't really do anything...
Please try the following sequence: <Play>, <RED>, <Stop>, <Play>. It should change the audio track (see also debug output via ExLink-cable).
Samsung initializes the audio engine (/dev/sam/ae0) on play start only. At this stage microcode for audio decoders will be downloaded and initialized (PCM, AC3, etc). While playback there is no microcode change implemented. E.g. audio engine with loaded microcode for PCM will not handle a stream with AC3 data. For that reason above sequence is needed.

A kind of. With DCA application you can listen PCM STEREO sound from your Optical out but DCA...
DTS pass-thru is possible, I wait smartsmurf to do that. At least he could give us 5.1 PCM sound from toslink.
And later dts-passtrhu. It's highly possible. :)

Restricted Firmwares are original firmwares which are released after FEB 2010. With this firmwares, you can't copy "Game Applications" to TV easily. You needed to turn around to make it.
You question is not but a really good question for "SamyGO for DUMMIES" wiki page. Thanks to pointing this.

Also you can use search box at main page, http://www.samygo.tv . It's googles engine and it i guess it will put better results.
