Which mice and keyboards (or mouse-keyboard-combos) work?

So before I go out and buy a RF keyboard/trackball I'd like to find out what I would be able to use it for. I already understand that I will not be able to use it for the built-in YouTube-widget but what could it in fact be used for?

    Telnet
    Atari 800 emulator?
What else?

You cannot use it for "Telnet" but SamyGO Console... :)
