and it is supported and developed by arris69. SaE isn`t related with hack of C series as is. I mean, TV should be hacked to use SaE. What functions it has depends only from sir Arris
Hotel mode hack (HMH) was thought by Perforator from russian forum just after he managed how to hack C series TV. He made this hack system including all plugins for his own needs and we are grateful he shared this hack with us. As i wrote a bit earlier, it is not good that those two systems are not full compatible with each other and i see - no one (neither Perforator nor Arris) want to do that job to make life easier. More over - Perforator suddenly stopped support his hack - we do not have any message from his for over 2 moth. But he promised to make new release with bugfixes (tv crushes after using console commands like "shutdown, halt, reboot"). So i do not think he makes any compatibility fixes to be used fluently with SaE.
The best solution is to split HMH to two modules:
1. Hack of TV + telnet only(stripped version of HMH) = ready for installing SaE or HMH plugin system
2. HMH plugins (it is ok to use unmodified HMH for this aim)
After this we could choose which system to use: SaE or HMH independent from the method how TV was rooted before.
If here is any brave linux geek, who could split HMH and prepare it to use as is mentioned above, we are waiting for an result
Sure, it would be great to make such system (based on SaE or HMH) which has all the best of both...
