UE55D8000, IPTV (Kpn Fiber)

Post by MarkV »

I own a UE55D8000 and have a interactive tv connection through Fiber, so called IPTV.
The shit part is that i've to use a settopbox to watch tv, therefore i cannot use the samsung remote to switch from channel and i have to connect through HDMI, so i can't use the epg etc.

Does anybody know if this is possible, or if there is some sort of converter from the settopbox to ant, cable or sat connection, so i can use my tv to the fullest and don't need the extra settopbox etc.

What i like to have is: my interactive tv, on the cabled LAN connector, and for the internet connection i want to use the wifi signal.
Further more that my TV sees this signal as the TV signal, and searches for channels, info, epg etc..

you should check http://www.dektec.com , i use DTA-107S2 upconverter as i only play streams from into local network and direct into TV/STB, in your case, you may need some other hardware like DTA-160
with Muxxpert to tell where from streams come come from (IP...)

Hee

Thanks for the great link, there's definitly lots of info to find, after translating with goolge translator ;-)
But it's not exactly what i was thinking about, i'd like to use the iptv stream as tv signal, so not as a application in SmartTv, but as main tv stream.
So when i press, for example in my case, 204 it connects to the ip stream from extreme sport channel.

Further, the stream is coming from a seperate VLAN, i can't see this trough my normal internet.
On my Experiabox (modem/router) the TV signal is directly put to port3 on my box, and seperated from my home lan..
The only thing what i can do is connect a second network connector to my tv LAN port..

Hoping someone could help me further, or has more technical information..
