D5000 OR D5500

Hi all
This week I'm planning to buy new Samsung's 40D5000 for 500 EUR.
As I was checking the differences between D5000 and D5500 models is the SmartTV option.
Now I noticed that D5500 can also be used as a PVR. That is great!

I'm wondering if it is possible (if anybody successfully did it) to transform D5000 model to D5500. It's not so much for the 70 EUR higher price than the good feeling when doing this hack ;D
So, if it is possible, can you then have PVR and SmartTV on D5000 with firmware of D5500?

D5500 can be enabled PVR and is rootable.
D5000 don't.

D5000 as D550 and lower models are not SamyGO, modding friendly. Better you choose arm cpu models (D6 and above) if you plan use extra features like SamyGO widget...

I won't need all those features because I will use XBMC to stream media on TV and XBMC already has apps and other extension.
I'm just wondering if there will be possible to get PVR working on D5000.
What is the difference between D5000 and D5500 in firmware or hardware that would prevent D5000 having PVR?

D5800 should be the same as D5000 or D5500 so try the wiki to enable PVR and report.
