However, I also have some shares in Windows that are shared for "everyone", so theoretically I should not need username and password. However, if I leave these empty (USER="" PASSWD="") I can't access them, SMB does not even appear in the virtual USB drive. Same happens if I make smb_userdata an empty file. What do I have to do here?
Any ideas?
philosophical question: is "everyone" no username and no password in a computer network or is "everyone" any authenticated user?

Hi all!
Just got my new D6200 and read about your efforts to improve the usability of all the Sammys.
I just tried to install the SamyGo widget on my TV set but sadly the remote host with the given address (from the wiki) redirects to another host.
So currently it's not possible to install your software. Would it be possible to get the latest widget for the D-series directly?
That way I could serve it by a local running web server.

your tv will get the widget if you not connect through a proxy...

arris
ps: don't ask again for the widget, there are no secrets but the server selects the correct version for the devices. no more senseless questions "what version i need for my tv" and no user needs to setup a webserver...

Hi arris, thanks for getting back so quickly.
The thing is that I do not connect through a proxy. It's directly connected to my router. But the TV tells me that there are network problems.
But I'll investigate further.
