As in sbva1 post:
http://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=204#p2179

Code: Select all

__ REC FILE OPEN (/dtv/usb/smb/192.168.200.20/Movies_F/record01, ffffffff)
means open is successful whereas mine return code (__ REC FILE OPEN (/dtv/usb/sda1/cap1.ts, 35) seems to mean it's unsuccessful
What is exactly this return code meaning, is it a return code of the "open" syscall?
I'm testing using my DVB-T and not DVB-C as you. Maybe it makes a difference and you need to input correct VPID,APID,PCRPID?
After stopping, the TV is frozen and i have 2 zero byte files cap1.ts and cap1.mdb. So it can open and create the file but it cannot capture frame of the TV.
The strange thing is when i do capture i have the same display i have when I'm on a DVB-T radio channel but it's producing a strident sound very annoying.
I don't know if there is a any PCR verbose mode i can use to troubleshoot this problem.

I can't test using network share (NFS) because 32B550 has no network card, but isn't is supposed to work with usb connected hard drive?
Thanks

It doesn't matter if it is DVB-T or DVB-C channel. Both sources have been tested by me. PID numbers are ignored. In B650 model, actually.

Error 35 means "File not found.", I think. It is strange. But maybe you should re-format your HDD with FAT32 again? Does your HDD work with MediaPlay without problems? Or can you try to use other USB drive or pendrive? Or maybe it is possible to record a small piece of moving pictures to the internal flash memory (in /mtd_wiselink/... or somewhere) just for test?
Empty TS files are created when selected input is 'non-DVB' one. For instance, when I select ATV channel or HDMI input, then nothing is recorded.

Would it also be possible to use a NFS mount, connected using 1gbit connection, that way I get it mapped straight to the Media Player for later viewing 8-)
Nope, I don't think that not be easy... use EXT3 instead of FAT32 format :)
Also do you sure 1Gbit connection? Since my TV (B650) uses 100Mbit Ethernet chip, what is your modal?

I got little improvement. Now I can handle key-presses with injected code.
But created file is empty. I don't know why, because gdb gives SIGSEGV when I inspecting randomly.
Also I got kernel crash when I press stop button.
:)

This days I needed to setup my hard drive. Try to use RAID 0 until SDD prices drops. ;)

I dont understand why i cant make this work. Some questions:

Code: Select all

# ls -la test.txt
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 0 3 Jan 1 00:12 test.txt
# chmod 777 test.txt
# ls -la test.txt
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root 0 3 Jan 1 00:12 test.txt
#
Why i cant chmod a file (fat32 mounted hd) ? why test.txt has no write perm for all?

Code: Select all

# date
Thu Jan 1 00:17:11 UTC 1970
Why the date is always 1970, isn't there an internal cmos?

I tried to write under /mtd_contents and inside /mtd_rwaera with no luck.
I wonder if there is not a service menu parameter that has to be enable for PVR to work.

i discovered we can enable verbose mode for PVR using the item "52 : PVR kernel level debug" and "99"
[PVR Print On]

I then have others logs in my case:

Code: Select all

Select> 66
Input Record File Name : /dtv/usb/sda1/pvr1.ts
Video Pid: 0x3
input is 0x3
Audio Pid: 0x2
input is 0x2
PcrPid: 0x1
input is 0x1

[iPVR  ] @[src/spIPvrMdbRec.c staPvr_MdbRecMakeBaseTable 462]pPvrMdbRecData->fd=0x201Size=64@
[iPVR ] PID_TABLE: Table ID : 0x80
[iPVR ] PID_TABLE: Video pid : 0x3
[iPVR  ] @[src/spIPvrMdbRec.c staPvr_MdbRecMakePidTable 502]pPvrMdbRecData->fd=0x201Size=64@
[iPVR ] ~[src/spIPvrMdbRec.c staPvr_MdbRecRecTask 894]StateChangeToStart ;Instance=0 pPvrMdbRecData=0x233976c~
The matter is: i cant decode this debug log.
I can write to /dtv/usb/sda1 as i can do echo 123>test.txt inside it and read it and i can read movie inside it.

I think you don't read this topic. It's discussed few pages before...
