Audio app in telnet playing sound on tv's speakers.Possible?

If movie playing on TV's Media Player, you are out of luck.
I don't think that is possible easily. In electronic world, there is nothing impossible but your wish could be true on Open Source environment.
Unfortunately we have closed source exeDSP application.

You can program an application that play audio files via Content Library program. But that is not meet your req. because it's not on OS level. I saw alsa libraries for TV but never tried to reach speakers from OS level. I think there is no alsa driver for TV's OS. You needed to research yourself
