telnet working, exLink not

hi,
i have a LExxB750UxP, so it is CI+.
I patched the firmware to the newest some years before but now i want more functionality out of the tv.
i managed to revert firmware back from the 2008 to the 2007 wich was on the device before.
now i can enable telnet and do stuff but exlink connection seams not working till now.
the usb to serial device works in loopback, my cable is connected right.
but all i get via exlink is loopback from any input (only if exlink is plugged in tv of course).
i don't see bootlog and can not get into u-boot menu with holding ~.

now the question is how i can get exlink working or what is wrong with exlink. any ideas?
i want to flash modified firmware but i would like to get exlink working before to have the chance of recover if something goes wrong.

i'm studying computer sience so you can write back some more technical but i have to say i'm not that good with internal linux structures.

By default here is uart, which doesn't allow you to see any debug log.

i'm sorry for not writing it.
i have changed it to debug and watchdog off as mentioned in the wiki.

is it possible that my usb to rs232 converter is somehow not compatible with the tv?
i'm using the cp210x.
or is the problem maybe the CHLCIPDEUC_2007 firmware?

i bought a PL2303 usb to rs232 device now...
via hyperterminal i get nothing (if i type a key i get something not readable)..
via putty serial connection i get something but also not human readable..
i tryed with boud rate of 115200 and 9600..

better than before but still not how i would expect it...
something wrong with the encoding?
boud rate?
encrypted ex-link?

any ideas?

Wait. pl2303 for B series:-)

No way. If you read wiki pages so inatentional then stop here. You will brick your tv completelly.

B series doesn't need any ttl conversion. Check B series wiki!

Either here is some mistake on the wiki or...

We don`t use any rs232 or pl2303 ttl converters on B series. Look at the schematics - direct wiring to com port is needed.

the com port is a rs232 interface. i only have usb on my pc so i need this conversion from usb to rs232 as "com - port"..
so the pl2303 is doing this conversion and is my "com port" like the cp*something* i tryed before..

i`m not technician, i don`t argue because of terms.
I just wanna say you, that you don`t need any extra cables/converters or so on for B series ExLink. If you don`t have com port on your PC, maybe this should be used, but i don`t have any experience...

Yes, with rs232 to USB cable it works. But only for com port emulation...

I always though that ExLink for B series is so simple and it doesnt require almost any soldering skills. Seems, it isnt...

i had no problem understanding this and soldering it..
but i had to look for the pin usage of "com" port (d-9) on wikipedia to get which pin corresponds to Rx,Tx, Gnd...

the cable and the usb/rs232 converter are working fine...
and i get some output of the B series CI+ device - but encoding of the characters seams wrong..
some parts of the output looks like menus (new rows starting with "?-" in utf8 "5%" or something).
