what can C6000 do over the lan port?

Post by liptaka »

Hello!

I have an UE32C600 TV. I connected it to my home lan, but unfortunately recognised that it
is able to do only firmware upgrade through the network and nothing else :-(
On some product sheets I read that it supports DLNA, however I set up
pc share manager on my pc, but nothing happens.

Can somebody please confirm or confute if some LAN features can be enabled somehow on the C6000 ?

read up in the wiki about "how to get root on your TV" ull be able to see what you can do with samoGO extensions etc
(after this your lan port will be useful)

first before u can do anything need to know what firmware do you have... your tv might be in the lucky list or you might have to post your interest in this thread if your on the T-VAL6DEUC firmware

Thanks for your answer!
I 've checked and unfortunately my fw is the one what you wrote:
T-VAL6DEUC-1016.0

But anyway I asked also samsung support and they confirmed that this model should support DLNA.
Media sharing from android phone (using allshare or imediashare) works well.
Just the connection with PC using the Pc share manager does not work.
I also disabled the firewall and switched off nod32 on pc, but still can not
see the TV.

DLNA started to work on my TV.
I think the problem was that before I always went into allshare menu of the TV while starting
pc share manager on pc. And the PC did not see the TV.
Now I tried again but without doing anything on TV (was just switched on),
and pc share manager recognised it immediately :-)

Thats good news,

hopefully you will not get too annoyed with the limitations of the samsung software - one big one for me, enough to make me post on the link i provided above (i have exactly the same TV and had the exact same firmware as you btw)

is that you cant ff rw and resume playback over DLNA.

Maybe a month back i was very close to getting pvr working over the network, but have been away from the tv since then.. i might be back soon - so if that interests you too ... stay tuned!
