Hi,
To report back, the BD-D6500 downgrade seemed to work fine. It did not brick. The version is now 1015 and is no longer on the net. I can get smart-hub junk from my TV (Samsung 59" Plasma). I just started a movie for testing (Wrath of the Titans). I will report back later but it seems to be good.

You are a giant among giants. Thank you so much.

BTW - any word on fixing the brightness pops on the plasma TVs? I will be afraid of any S/W updates in the future.

EDIT: The Audio and Video quality are greatly improved throughout and no glitches yet. Very happy.

Not having any luck getting connected to the DNS server either. Have tried both manually changing the network DNS on my BD-6500 and the one on my PC and router. When I attempt nslookup www.samsungotn.net samygo.tv I get an error message that it Can't find the server name, Query Refused.

Have the 1023 version rolled out the first of February and would love to downgrade. Thank you.

I have BD-D8200N with 1010 firmware and I tried to downgrade.

I can connect to server and my player tries to download firmware 1007, but it's stuck on 0 %

Anything I might have done wrong or maybe it's not poassible on my device and or firmware?

SWU_B-BRCMBSP_001025_I05_ES000KS000RS000DS000BS000_120322 is the version I have and it's not listed. Suppose I'll wait to see if someone else has luck getting that to downgrade properly.

Hello. I found this forum after trying to downgrade my Samsung home theatre. I know that this is for TV's, but would it be possible to work on my blu-ray home theatre setup? I tried to do the steps provided in the guide, but it tells me there is no software to download, and I assume it is because you have not tested this on their blu-ray players, or have the proper firmware that I need. Would it even be possible to downgrade the HT using this method?

firmware is HTB-D6500WWB-1010.0
