I checked your firmware and is for "Firenze" platform (like D-series BD-s)...so you have an Arm processor...
It could be possible...but whats the point ? You will not get web browser , PVR or 3D FM...

Why?
SmartHub is webkit based.
I tried to open some sites trhrough iframe.
Opened well, but there is no mouse available and some other issues.
Now i am working on mouse realization on html+js+dom level 3, but i think it will be better to make a native app than try to make browser ui using html (some sites prevent themselves from loading in iframe, we'll can try to use XHR+some manipulations+putinnerHTML, but i don't think it will be good).
So, ... how to root it.

Server is OK, Blu-ray player firmware isn't.
I think it will be much better to ask samsung developers to make subtitles support for dlna (or make it yourself and send a patch to devs) than mount samba.

I dont get it, what u mean with server is ok ? and player firmware is not ?

I have the mediatomb server runing ok even mkv's, there are some tricks to get subtitle working with transcode (or something like that) but my server is a rly crapy p4 @ 1.8ghz dont think it can handle that, especialy to transcode a mkv

Thanks.
