The original developer Sisternicky does not seem to be active lately, so I made a few modifications to the latest sources myself.

Changes in DeSTRoi version 1.3.2:
- Added FTP support for BD players with internal HDD
- Disabled on the fly FTP decoding (due to not working for large video files)
- Added INF file download along with the video file
- Detailed movie information is now displayed in the decryption list for all video files with accompanying INF file
- Changed output filename generation logic to include timestamp (to support series with the same title)
- Fixes in INF file parser
- Various GUI tweaks and minor bugfixes

EDIT: updated version available below

Great!
But it is a pity you had to disable the on the fly FTP decoding. IMO, it should work. It crashed on my system because it was eating very rapidly all my memory. That must be due to a problem with the allocation of the memory (or more precisely, the memory not being freed when it should). Is it really impossible to fix that bug?

I have done some research on that and the problem is, that the program temporarily stores the contents of the entire video file in memory and this quickly consumes all available memory, unless you have a computer with lots of it. There is nothing wrong with memory allocation. This part of the code should be completely rewritten to use smaller temporary buffer, but I don't have enough knowledge of C# to do it. Anyway, FTP download is not really necessary if you can use samba share access. DeSTRoi now uses INF file information to generate meaningful filenames also from directly accessed files.

Ah, well, of course loading 10GB in memory when you have only 3GB of free memory is difficult! I understand why it crashed!

I agree that the Samba share is theoretically a good solution. Unfortunately, when you shut the TV down, the Samba share is lost by Windows (that's of course normal), but if you turn it on again, the FTP access is almost immediately available, but the Samba share is recognised by Windows only after 10 or 15 minutes! So, you have to restart Windows just to restore the Samba share. It's a pity, and it's why I would prefer the FTP access. (Not sure why Windows is so slow. I'm using Win7 x64.)

Guys, don't forget that not all of us can use samba shares on their TVs, so FTP access is essential.

Is there any chance to have the application fixed/changed in a way that it doesn't open the awfuly designed windows for downloads and remembers the windows size, so that one doesn't need to resize it every time?
Also an option to download files with their ORIGINAL NAMES would be nice... some of us really don't like applications which think they know better what we want...

Well, there are workarounds, like NetDrive (bit slow, but free for home use):

With this FTP client you can use any FTP as a normal network drive with instant file access :!:

Hmmm, Windows only...
Let's better stick with the simple fact that FTP access to the TV is essential multiplatform functionality, right?

So, I got an STB-E7500 and so some occasional records with it and would like to store them on my PC. Am I right in guessing the E in the name stands for E-Series and is thereby not supported yet (As you would've probably guessed by now I'm new to all of this, this is actually my first Samsung product regarding TV stuff)? If not, is there a reason why not?
I'd love to get it working since it'd make my records so much more useful than just laying on the HDD without being able to do anything with it.
If there's anything I could help with I'd be glad to do that.
