UE46ES6800 problem with somes mkv 3d

I have just connected my pc with allshare, tested with mkv files, no problem, it works great

I have tested some mkv 3d sbs but many appears that files not supported "the file selected is not supported"

I test with wd live player .... all works...., with xtremer 3 works too...

My question is why some mkv3d works and another doesn't works ? I have the lastest firmware installed

One friend has the old 6000 series , and gives files, everything is ok !!!!!! with allshare, i don't understand

Short answer. MKV is just a "Container" within that container there can be different coding options which is why some are working and some aren't. (correct me if I am wrong, this is just what I was taught a long time ago, lol)

I have the samre problem. I have a D-series (UE40D6570) and an E-series (UE40ES6540) TV.
The 3D SBS and non-3D HD mkv files I downloaded play fine on the D-series TV but teh E-series TV says that the format is not supported.
I digged into it more.
The mkv files which play well on the D-series TV have H.264 video, 2 x AC3 audio, 2 x subtitle tracks and tag as per MkvToMp4 0.221a progran created by Oreons (www.mkvtomp4.ru). This mkttomp4 program does not reencode the video part, it remains the original h.264 but it converts teh audio tracks to AAC from AC3.

If I convert the mkv files to m4v with this tool and I remover the subtitles and the tag then E-series TV can play the files but I cannot do forwarding, rewindin, seeking on the TV.
On the D-series TV I can do forwarding, rewinding, seeking in case of mkv and incase of m4v format too.

I tried MKV Convert Studio as qeel. It can convert the mkv to avi by copying the video track and converting the first audio track to mp3.
In that case the E-series TV can play it but no forwarding, rewinding, seeking is working. But at least Pause is working in this case.

Of course the Allshare app on the D-series and the E-series TV are differnetm they have differnet user interface. My opinion is that the older Allshare on the D-series was better.

I will investigate more and try to figure out how to get the seeking working in case of E-series too.
