Hi, i recently bought an BD-D5100 player because of the cinavia free firmware, the player is still in 1001.? firmware so it is cinavia free, i would like to know if the next offcial firmware (1016.2 I think), is still cinavia free? If yes, can i install it via usb? Will it enable bd-live functions?

Hello, I have tried the settings on page one. Changed the DNS on both my Blu Ray and on my router and it doesnt
find any new software I currently have the following...

Product Information:
Front: HTB-D5300WWM-1005.0
S/W: HTB-D6500WWB-1011/2
LOADER: HTB-D5300WWL-0038
REGION: A/1(BD/DVD)
MACROVISION: BSS71
Model Code: HT-D5300Series_ZA
MAIN TOUCH IC: HTB-D5300WWT-1004
SUB TOUCH IC: HTB-D5300WWV-1006

Can this be downgraded. I keep getting the no new software found and I have changed the settings on both my routher and player.(DNS SETTINGS).

Hi Shadow1201,

the downgrade should work. Sometimes you need to give it a couple of tries and restarts to make it find the firmware. Unless arris is doing some temporary fixed to the firmware?

i don't touch anything on firmware files then all are verified. it's simple network trouble sometimes on user isp side sometimes on samygo isp side.
