Hello,
just sharing channel list editing on the ue40es5500, take no responsibility, at your own risk.

put the tv in the hotel mode, in order to use clone to usb function (use usb fat32)
this function output a *deuc* map with a clone submap, with a mapD file
use samtoolbox to edit and save
still in hotel mode, use clone usb to tv
set hotelmode off
finished

which version of samtoolbox does support mapD file of ES5500?

This worked for me too, with samtoolbox v0.11, and I didn't even have to switch to hotel mode. Just went to Menu -> Channel -> Transfer Channel List ->Export to USB, plugged to PC, edited, plugged back to TV and then Menu -> Channel -> Transfer Channel List ->Import from USB (Pin was 0000 for me BTW).

That was just the problem, this option isn't available/active, so the trick was to activate the hotel mode etc etc
