Is the LN40D630 samygo compatible?

I have an LN40D630 Samsung and I am not sure if this model would be considered a "D" series??

The firmware on the tv is T-VALDUSC-1004.0

I have searched and checked the 'For Dummies' section without success

Please let me know

This is D series TV based on C series firmware or so. We know few models which run on VAL* firmwares. What exact firmware it has on board? T-VALAUSC or T-VALDEUC? i guess you made typo and on LN models should be T-VALAUSC.

Yes I did make a typo or the iPAD autocorrected me, here is the exact firmware:

Since I am in the US and have the 1004.0 revision and not the 1005.0, should I upgrade to the 1005.0? or just try to root it with the 1004.0 ?

The LN40D630 does not support Samsung apps, so should I even bother with SamyGO on this tv? or would I be able to install apps on this tv after rooting with SamyGO ?
