EH4003 -> EH6030

Hi,

I've got the 32EH4003 model (UE32EH4003W) as a gift, so no chance to choose the parameters. It is basic model with usb ConnectShare working very well (even for FHD mkv movies).
Looking through the forum I've found some ideas about changing the model in the service menu (SM) and maybe unlock some other interesting functions.
The wifi dlna (through USB port WIFI dongle) is really missing feature for me, as I have miniDLNA server installed at my NAS side.
I've managed to get SM and evend Advanced one (0000), but there is only WIFI region item (E) and nothing else regarding DLNA (Ok, there is, but greyed out).
I've found old interface board (built myself - MAX232) from "good old Nokia times ;o)" and managed to change to Ex-Link interface (great SamyGO wiki ;o) ).
I am able to see log details on the Putty screen right now, but could'nt manage to open TDM to change other interesting items (even with SamyGO wikipedia hints - maybe outdated?).
Inserting my really old WIFI dongle with Ralink 2570 chipset (MSI-6861 US54G) caused to print "PTP device found" message, but nothing else (as there is not "Network settings" in the TV menu yet).
So it seems even correct driver module is loaded!

As a last chance I tried to change model number in the SM (to EH6030, as this one has DLNA capability) and this caused to show "Network" settings menu!
Unfortunatelly, the display is mirrored (left <-> right), so quite unusable, when reading the SM or managing the TV at all.
When accesing Network setting, message about non existing dongle shown, so maybe some driver/SM tweaking could help.

Could someone have any idea how to enable TDM or manage to swith to the correct WIFI USB dongle? I am kind of linux user, so not a problem to put some cmds on the prompt (if it is ExLink accessible).
Could anybody have an idea how to change Display to corect settings (not left<->right mirrored one?) when model number is changed to 6030?

P.S.: I think the firmware version is 1007 or 1006 (I can check it later when at home), so not the last one (1008)

One more question:
What could be the correct codes (Ex-Link) to get to the TDM for EH4003?
I've seen several combinations in the forum for different models.
I've tried:

ARM (Series 7 & 8):

I've managed to enable external wifi through Psiloc Irremote on my old Nokia e51 (FACTORY + 3SPEED) and SERVICE MENU.

I can even see message:
"PTP Device detected"

and I enabled Ext-wifi in Service Menu.

Network settings menu is available even in 4003 model settings, but USB Wifi module is still not detected (message about Insert Samsung ... shown).

Please could anybody help me to solve this?

It seems U have a lot of experience (I've noticed a lot of replies), could U describe notification:
"PTP Device detected" ?
Does it means correct module is loaded as I supposed?
Do U know how to enable console? Could someone put all the codes I could check later? Wiki is a little bit outdated I think.
Is there any chance to get to shell through Ex-Link?

Hi there,

i have found this very cheap usb stick (the recommended one on samyGO wiki for E series):

and download drivers for linux:

and compiled drivers under ubuntu 12.04 and used iwpriv to change VID/PID.

My TV recognized the usb stick and after few configuration settings (ESSID, pwd ) is connected

I am looking for way to connect to my tv through LAN right now...
I couldn't enable DLNA (item not found in SM) even after 3SPEED + FACTORY.
The SM item All Share is enabled (ON).
Any suggestions?

Hi,

I have found "DLNA" settings (I hope it is the one) under Control -> Sub Option -> OPTION_MEDIAPLAY :
1) MediaPlay DB - OFF
2) MediaPlay Movie - chapterinMedi (sorry, cannot read, it is cutted off )
3) MediaPlay DLNA - OFF
4) MediaPlay PlayList - OFF

BUT all the items are greyed out ;o(

As mentioned on this forum http://forum.ixbt.com/topic.cgi?id=62:12046-94 I was looking for "Num of network stream" even when eh6030 model settings, but no luck

What should I try next?

ruSamsungTVCommunicator couldnot connect, even TV got correct DHCP ip adress from router and internet connection is ok also.

even tried to change model to 5003 and/or upgrade to fw 1008.
I haven''t noticed any difference.

Any hint how to enable AllShare and/or DLNA?

Hi everyone,

I have noticed, fw for 6030 is twice as big as 4003 one (39MB vs 65 MB).
It is possible, dlna functionality is not there, maybe that's why i couldn't see allshare (dlna) menu item even when enabled in SM (but there is alsio 3D functionality in 6030 as well).
Is there a way how to decompress fw? I tried to use SamyGO patcher, it doesn't work (couldn't find the key) and maybe combine it with old one? Is the firmware somehow readable or it is pure binary code?

I would like to avoid risk flashing 3D FHD fw to non 3D HD device. When switching to debug log, I can see error when detecting Display (2d/3d 60Hz vs 120Hz) when on orig fw and model changed to 6030.
What is the difference between NOVATEK 4 and NOVATEK 5 series chip (fw T-NVTE4DEUC_1008.0_SAMSUNG4003 vs T-NVTE5DEUC_1012.0_SAMSUNG6030)? Is it ARM family or anything else? I couldn't find any useful info on novatek homepage: www.novatek.com.tw.

I've found these models in the SM: 4003,5003,6030,HA470,LE420. The last two models does't belong to end customer model's. I will try to enable hospitality, maybe some ports will be opened to make connection (there is original Samsung sw on the site with remote control functionality for these models).

Any hints?
