Rooting a Syncmaster LT27A950

Hi and a Happy New Year to everybody!

I have a Syncmaster LT27A950 with T-GASMDEUC-1007.0 firmware and I would like to install the SamyGO widget. All steps ok until I get to point 3. "Press User Application Synchronization". This continually fails with "network or server interference occurred"

The Monitor is connected to the Internet (wired) via 2 switches and a router (all Netgear) and I gets is IP, GW and DNS via DHCP. There is no proxy and I don't think anything is blocked by my Dutch ISP (Ziggo)

If I ping the IP in the instructions from my PC connected that is connected to the same switch I get this: -

I have changed the SMART hub locale between NL (my location) and UK (country of origin) and all widgets install and update as expected. I have also tried a complete reset of the SMARTHUB, again this had no effect.

I managed to download the Netplayer widget from 91.121.84.162 using this method with no errors at all.

Has anybody any idea how to work around this? My goal is to remove PVR scrambling. Can I achieve this in any other way?

try old dns (46.4.199.222).

Hi,

I tried 46.4.199.222 as the dns address in network settings and it did not see it as a dns server. Even so, I continued with the Application Synchronization on address 149.154.159.134 but again it continually fails with "network or server interference occurred".

Can the person controlling the server see errors on the server? Is it worth me configuring wireshark so see what's actually happening when the request is made?

OK, so today the site worked and the SamyGO widget is installed

Once it is installed, if I then press SamyGO widget again I get the SamyConsole, when I press enter I can use a USB keyboard but if I give the address of the monitor itself (192.168.0.2) I just get "Error cannot connect to 192.168.0.2!" and it exits. Is this correct?

Now trying to install samsung_pvr to get the 01_04_pvr_drm_disable.init working.

DRM Free Recording works great

If I just put the USB stick as is in an ES TV is says that the content is DRM protected but VLC plays it and Handbrake converts it to mp4 without problems.
