[SOLVED] boot-loop after Rollback 3000 FW on UE40B7090

Post by edelfalke »

I have a big problem.
After i've flashed 3000 FW by Hand like described at this Topic:
http://forum.samygo.tv/viewtopic.php?f= ... 3649#p3649
and now my TV reboots every approx. 2 mins.

I can use telnet for some seconds (Telnetenabler app in Game).
I can stop the reboots by typing

Code: Select all

/mtd_boot/MicomCtrl 23
killall -9 exeDSP
in telnet, but after some seconds telnet doesn't work anymore.
Watchdog is disabled.

Please help me.

Do you make factory reset?
If you have ExLink cable, use that way instead of Telnet (on CI hardware.)
And I you backed up all partitions before, flash other partitions too. This will revert all settings...
Have no time to examine log now but might be tomorrow...
THansk.

Unchanged After Factory reset.
It is an CI+ Device, i can only use Ex-Linkcable to see the bootprocess.
I have no backup of the Partitions, where can i get other images? In my FW Folder i can found only exe.img and appdata.img.

Bad.

Code: Select all

[0;37;40mAuthuld: System will be down.
Yeah, I identified problem. You have CI+ device.
Authuld restarting TV because of firmware, that is not compatible with "hashes" in TV.
CI+ devices have a special hash to detect if FW code changed after flash or not.
You cannot write CI+ device exeDSP partition by hand alone. Because it keep some hash code in other partition I don't know where...

Solution is that you needed to update same version again but using TV's internal flashing mechanism (VIA menu, not by hand.)
That will update those hashes and your TV will not be restart...

Hi erdem,

thank you for your Help.

I didn't knew about impossibility of flashing CI+ Devices by hand.

Flashing by TV's internal flashing mechanism isn't possible because tv shuts down before i can use flashing mechanism @Menu.

I have now restored my backups of exe.img and appdata.img that i have done before flashing by hand and i'm a lucky one because i had enougth time to do this before TV shuts down (approx. 15 seconds more).

Now the problem is gone.
