Hi guys,

i have a sammy HT D6750w (home theatre) and it came with firmware 1014 which has the cinavia crap.

I followed the DNS trick and i got to download the 1116 patched firmware.

I went ahead and installed the samygo app successfully.

Now, as far as i understand, i downloaded an ealy firmware version 1010.2 (i am not sure if it is the correct firmware) i then downloaded the Samygo firmware patcher ver 0.34, installed pyhton 2.6.3 and crypto (i have a win 64 OS, but installed the x86 version of pyhton and crypto, i a,lso tried the x64 version to no results)

So i followed the guid i try to decript, the drcryption processes starts normally then at the end i get:

Calculated CRC : 0x5b5c3fb6
Error on Decryption

Theere is a.img file that gets created in the destination folder, but i think it might be corrupted. Anyone can help me plz

i spent hours on this

EDIT: Just want to add that i tried with a Win7 32 machine and i am getting the same error.

I downloaded the firmware from the forums and it seemed like it worked for other people. What am i doing wrong ?

Hallo,I just made ??a connection with DNS:46.4.199.222 but the way i did is little bit different.I changed only Primary DNS on the router and left DNS on the Blu Ray to Auto.So the Blu Ray recognized DNS him self and make connection.I think this will help someone.
But the massage was "no software to upgrade currently".May be is locked for me for now.
Thanks!

Each day I try the server from the first post too, but there is always "no software to upgrade currently".Or MAC address I gave to arris69 has something to do.I gave him Mac I read from the Player. From the router is another one:LAN MAC Address:00-16-0A-18-62-D
And from the player is MAC: 60:6b:bd:d8:55:a0

I think it should be written on first page :)
I was having same problems too.
If you connect to server and find no update = it means there is no verified FW for your model.

If you still want to try to downgrade you have to be a tester (DUID) to be able to download FW. But be aware that you can brick BR Player - as I did :) - If you are aware of risk write to arries in post "yes a like to be a guinea pig", and not cry if your device is bricked after downgrade... Remember to enclose your device model and number of current FW.

davidx wrote:Thanks to all.... this site/community is awesome. Anyways, here's the updated: IT WORKED...!!! downgraded back to version 1015.

Samsung BD-D5700 (downgraded from 1028 ==> 1015 successfully).
Tested movie file: PROJECT X (.mkv file play smoothly with no Cinavia crap)

Here's what I did:
<> Power off Bluray player with "no disc" in tray, unplug cord off the wall for 5 - 10 minutes.
<> while bluray player is off the wall, change the DNS from your wireless/DSL/router/modem network to 46.4.199.222
<> I had 2 DNS, so I just put both using the same as 46.4.199.222
<> click "Apply", then "Reboot" router
<> plug bluray power cord back on, turn power on bluray player via control
<> go straight to "settings, network, network status, IP settings," and change DNS from bluray player to "Manual," then change DNS to 46.4.199.222, then click "OK"
(I didn't even do anything with IP address, Subnet, and Gateway, I leave those in Auto Mode)
<> exit out, and turn off bluray player with remote, unplug cord off the wall for 5 minutes
<> plug bluray power cord back on, turn power on bluray player again via control
<> go to "settings, support," then wait 15 secs for "software update", click "update from internet"
<> it should download software XX90, just wait til download completed
<> then upgrade now, once it's done, power off, wait for 1 minute, turn power on again
<> now go check the version via settings, software and it should be [Current Version: 2011/08/05_001015]
<> after downgraded successfully, remember to change both your DNS from router and bluray player back to normal.

Hope this helps for future BD-D5700 owners.
I just downgraded successfully to 1015.5 as well on my BD-D5700
from 2012/10/19_001030

the problem I had the first time is that I went into 'settings/network status' and tried to connect to the server that way..
when you enter the new address on the first page here into the player and click ok, it'll automatically try to connect.. mine said it couldn't connect so i was confused... but don't worry about this because it connects via the support menu..
you have to go into 'settings/support/software upgrade (wait 15 seconds for it to appear).. then update from internet/ upgrade now

just as you said it worked perfectly.. i did my last update fairly recently also as you can tell in October.. so the downgrade still works for this..

arris69 wrote: extract the extensions-pack to usb-stick, (the file rcSGO must be accessible as <driveletter>:\SamyGO\rcSGO)
create a file with name run.sh on one usb-stick (save it with unix line-ends):

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh
/dtv/usb/sda1/SamyGO/rcSGO /dtv/usb/sda1/SamyGO
then plugg into your device and turn it on, wait for 3 minutes then try to access per ftp or netcat...
Same problem here. HT-E5500 with B-FIRHT7WWC_1011 fw donwgraded with dns method. Tried installing SammyGO ext with in all three ways (dev acc with sync from your server, with my own web server, and usb-plug method) No luck.
With sync app from your server, error is " "Failed to install. For more information, visit http://samsungdforum.com/Support/TVappsSecurity. (Special characters are not alloed for filename).". Supose is something wrong with filename on your server and my device do`t accept that.
With my own server, i changed .zip name to SammyGO.zip and error is NULL.
With usb-plug method, run.sh is correct, unzipped sammygo.zip on root of usb stick but nothing happens.

Is anything else what i can try to solve my problem?

if you start the extensions via hotplug you don't see anything on screen...

try this one in run.sh and then check if logfile is created, maybe your usb is not sda1 so you can try also sda sdb sdb1 etc...

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh
sh -x /dtv/usb/sda1/SamyGO/rcSGO /dtv/usb/sda1/SamyGO > /dtv/usb/sda1/run.log 2>&1 &

Tested your script with sda, sdb, sda1, sdb1 and nothing. No log file created on usb stick. I suppose when script is installing usb led must be blinking because data is readed. It`s blinking at start a little, and after "Safely remove USB" message appear it`s not blinking at all.
