Telnet advice

Hi!
I'm about to hack my C650 using the Hotel mode for C650 T-VALDEUC-3009.2 and I have two questions I hope somebody can help me with:

1. I don't have a Linux pc. The hotel mode hack is possible using Windows, correct? There's an .exe file that I need to run etc, so Windows, right? (Just making sure.)

2. Step 16 and 17 involves Telnet. I haven't uset Telnet much but I think I know what to do, so please see if I'm correct:

"Try to connect to your Tv via Telnet" ---> I should write "telnet 192.168.x.x" using cmd, right? Is that all? Will I somehow be "logged in" after that?

"Run command cp $OPT_DIR/usr/restore/start.sh /mtd_rwarea/start.sh" ---> After what I wrote above, do i just write "cp $OPT_DIR..." in telnet and that's it?

Any answer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
