Hey,
I enabled 3D by changing the model number to a 6500 but when i open the Explore 3d app its just displaying 2 pictures side by side, does this mean that the hardware doesnt support it?

Probably you either have incompatible glasses, as newer models use RF, whereas older uses IR (Infrared). You can try to activate the KR3D setting in the Service Menu. WARNING: We don't know exactly what this setting does, but much point to that it activates the shutter glass (IR) emitter. So don't blame us if something else goes wrong. (Although it shouldn't.)

It is not clear what this emitter is. It is most likely Bluetooth (RF) in newer
models, and IR in older ones.

did you install 6500 firmware after changing model ? if not then the option to switch to 3D isnt available allthough u can enable 3D.
screen refreshrate should be above 200mhz to function well.

i have A3LSS3500CR , A3LSS3100GB , A3LSS4100
these have no HD since there shutterglasses , but work on bleutooth..
B means Battery..
R means Rechargable
G means Glasses
turning IR on in servicemenu of es8000 turns on IR glasses (confirmed working but suck compared to BT)

Sorry for the long response, I didnt recieve notice of new postings, I don't have any 3d glasses, I was just looking to get the picture interlacing and working before I purchased glasses. I did not update the firmware as it appears to be the same firmware according to the samsung website, I can try an update though if its needed? Also, i just enabled KR3D in the settings menu and it is still just displaying a side by side image, I assume it should be interlacing the frames?
