yes. no official firmwares accepted if you have patched firmware installed.

Blocking of official firmware update by patched firmware should be mentioned in the first post of firmware downgrade threat...

Re: Samsung BD-D6900 (rooted, Serial port:ok,TDM:ok)
we dont block anything. Samsung wont accept patched firmware as native and wont start any upgrade. But thanks for the tip, will add this to first page. I don't think this is big problem. Manuall way is always possible, just need to calculate required hashes.

Re: Samsung BD-D6900 (rooted, Serial port:ok,TDM:ok)
How can i go back to Default Samsung Software ? My device is damaged and I need to send it to customer support....so it would be better if there is a standard firmware on it.
The first thread about "downgrading" is tor the TVs...but not for the BD-Player...

Re: Samsung BD-D6900 (rooted, Serial port:ok,TDM:ok)
restore factory defaults in menu - it should revert firmware to stock version
also I recommend you to note to the service, that you want them not to update the firmware if they are gonna repair your unit,
otherwise you end up not being able to install samygo anymore

Re: Samsung BD-D6900 (rooted, Serial port:ok,TDM:ok)
Hm - tried to restore to factory default, but when i push the "Stop" button on the device for 5 seconds the button blinks 2 x and nothing else happens...can not restore....is there another combination of pushing buttons to factory restore firmware ?
Re: Samsung BD-D6900 (rooted, Serial port:ok,TDM:ok)
I didn't mean by pushing the buttons - simply go to the menu of the device - settings - ... restore to factory defaults is there somewhere
this way worked for me few years ago, it should still be working

BD has not point in system menu...it must be a button-combination...
