Urgent - UE46F6100 question - Connectivity

Hey guys,

I've just received my new UE46F6100 , It had only one HDMI port out of the two working and no LAN connection although dealer said it would.

I'm going to return the TV today and i'm not sure if to get the same model or another model with LAN.

The thing is, All I need is to share my computer movies to the TV's media player to get the movies decoded in the internal decoder(Work's smoothest especially in 3D).

I've heard there is a way to connect the computer to the TV with usb and create a "virtual USB" out of the computer for the TV to recognize with some extension pack etc from SamyGO.

Is it possible or should I get a model with LAN for good?

Hi, if you don`t have LAN port on your TV then maybe it has built in wireless? But if it not, then yes, for SamyGO you have to gel network connection on board.
Honestly, here is no SamyGO for F series yet, but network port is necessary in any case if you want to play your movies from network storage.

p.s. Just checked it`s features on samsung`s web page, here is no network support on this model, neither lan nor wifi (strange solution for nowaday`s TV...)

Check F series models for features: download/file.php?id=1778 , under conectivity tab of F6000~F6800 sheet you will se, that your model has no network, and just F6200 got Wireless built in and Ethernet (lan)

But i've red that with SamyGo All Extensions I can only connect PC to TV with USB to use computer as USB drive for the shares.

And then using "PC Share Manager" to do the shares , Or it's already outdated and not possible for the F series without LAN?

How do you plan to use network feature without network connection ? It is possible if you buy some external mediaplayer with this feature. If you won`t buy another devices, then you have to change your TV.

Ok, I missed that he had the LAN part.

The problem is, Using external mediaplayer or device will make the tv play from the mediaplayer and not from the internal tv's player.

Is there any way to make the tv's player run contents with it's own decoder with an external device but usb drive?

There ain't a way to trick to pc hdd/shared into USB drive and than connect it to the tv's usb?
