Samsung BD6500 BlueRay downgrade question

Post by KKen »

I have read the first post. Do I have do anything other than change the DNS to the numbers indicated and leave all the other info
on the screen unchanged? (IP internet address, as an example)

Do I have to do anything to my router settings?

After I make the DNS change in my BD6500 settings and tell it to download via internet, will the download
site know which Samsung BlueRay I have and offer the correct older firmwares for me to choose from?

My firmware is a 1025 with a 2012 date. I have never had a problem until this morning when watching a 2013 movie.
A message came up stating blah blah... and it would be muting the audio... The video continued playing but audio was muted.

Just curious if the downgraded firmwares where downloadable to a USB stick which can be used for firmware updates too.

One last question, would updating APPS be different than firmware. I would like to see if more apps are available but have always worried
about it being a firmware update.

thank you
Ken

I could use some help. I tried changing just the DNS and I can't connect to the internet.
I got a ERROR 601 operation time out stating internet not stable.

Is there something else I am suppose to do in the settings.

Thanks
Ken
