E-series firmware change, Brazil-UK

I have scoured this site for several weeks for the answer to my problem and I haven't found it. I'm hoping some kind soul can help me out with a relatively simple way to do what I'm trying to do. I'm pretty familiar with computer hardware and software, but not familiar with Linux.

I have a UN32EH5300GXZD purchased in Brazil. It is running firmware T-MST10PIBRC_1015.1

I want to change to the official Samsung firmware T-MST10PDEUC_1032.0 for the same model of TV in the UK. The reason is that the Brazilian firmware does not include the Flash Player, required for some of the UK apps.

I have already changed the app store location from Brazil to UK in Smart Hub and obtained access to the UK applications, but some of them don't work, particularly BBC iPlayer.

I have access to the service menu (via Mute,1,8,2,Enter for this model) and have made the dual IRLED transmitter and downloaded the WAV files to give me access to the extended service menu (the ruSamsungTVCommunicator method doesn't work for this model). The IRLED circuit works but it doesn't seem to have done me much good so far! None of the region settings has the UK (or even Europe) as an option.

What do I do next? I have seen some comments in the forums that this is so trivial it is not worth bothering to spell out how to do it! Please spell it out for me...

Forgot to mention that the InstallSamyGO USB widget works on this TV to give me FTP access, if it helps.

Stop Press: It seems that the BBC has switched from Flash to HTML5 for iPlayer on Samsung in the last few days. iPlayer now works on my Brazilian TV! Still no Demand 5 though.
