BD-FM59C

Post by snood »

I purchased a BD-F5900 last week. I also ordered two CA-42 cables, which should allow me to COM into the device using the front USB port. I see there has been some luck accessing a F-series TV, so I am going to try my luck using the same exlink unlock code 20139120 and TDM code 20089999. I have no idea if they will work or not, but figured it's a good place to start.

Assuming they work and I can access root. Does anyone know if you can use hyperterminal x-modem or y-modem to transfer a file to and from the device, specifically exeDSP? Or even perhaps TFTP? Or even if you would with a prior series?

Good to know you`re in!

But first you have to find ExLink port or pins where you have to solder rx, tx ad gnd of your exlink cable. BD devices on E and D series don`t have Exlink -for this was needed to find correct places on mainboard first...

no idea where to start from. But maybe exlink (or service) port is present on your device???

Glad to know your excited! I haven't done any of Samy modding yet, but have done plenty of others. I will be out of town this weekend and will be tied up this coming week, but afterwards I will crack it open and post some pictures as well.
Question - I saw a post saying that on some units you could tie two exlink cables together (FaNet) and access the system via the USB port. I assume this was not for BD devices (E and D series)? http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Enteri ... Net_method
The only ports on this device are ethernet, hdmi, toslink, and usb (front).

Update:
Cables arrived yesterday, I will open the player hopefully mid next week and upload some pictures.
