Firmware Checksum

Post by adm3 »

Hi,

So I've read the guide which enables PVR through the hotel mode and I'm ready to try it out.
The TV in question is a UE32C6500 with firmware T-Valduec 3011.1.
I know I'm not going to get the PVR menu option in hotel mode on this firmware and have to go back to 3008.3, first using 0000.
Unsurprisingly I can't find any official sources for the older firmwares so was wondering if someone could verify I've downloaded the correct files?

I have:
T-VALDUEC_0000.zip containing an image folder. When extracted the image folder contains exe.img.sec (87,389KB) MD5 checksum = 1826bc8badd40e823a0dc599d5047730

T-VALDUEC_0000.rar containing an image folder. When extracted the image folder contains exe.img.sec (86,437KB) MD5 checksum = f125c99d51d88edc1f471023aeef8e03

T-Valdeuc_3008.3.exe which launches a samsung install program to extract files to a USB stick: MD5 checksum = 0d78d5a238e8881bdcb1c14d64fda7a6

Worried about using the wrong firmware and bricking the TV so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Adam.

Both zero (0000.0) firmwares available here were multiple times checked and both are ok. But brick danger exists in every firmware flashing procedure, so you`re not 100% insured.

I have UE40C6500 with 3011.1, so almoste the same as yours and i can confirm the "virtual remote" method aka. 3speed factory working for this. So you could avoid firmware hassles.
//UE40C6500 @ T-VALDEUC 3011 // rooted manual HotelMode style // PVR to NFS via 18MB on-the-fly sparse XFS // >> decommissioned due to tuner death
//UE46F8090 @ T-FXPDEUC 1136 // rooted by new Widget // root starting with empty usb drive
FYI: you can close your ssh session with SamyGO with

Code: Select all

~.
If you can't fix it using dvct tape, you are not using enough dvct tape.
