Hi, is it possible to apply the model change hack (from UC6000 to UC6600) on this TV in order to enable internet@tv and PVR function ?
TV model = UE32C6000RPXZT
Firmware = T-VALDEUC-1013.2
2010/05/28_001013
Is there anyone who did it before and who can give me some tips ?
Is it necessary to upgrade the firmware before proceeding ?
Is it possible to save user's settings before entering service menu and restore them back once the hack is done ?
Thanks in advance.

A. I discover this procedure and i write the info on the wiki.
Q. Is it necessary to upgrade the firmware before proceeding ?
A. I don't know, when i discover this procedure i have on my tv the fw 3008.3.
So i suggest you to upgrade to this fw is secure, unrestricted, and every options that you modify manually on extended service menu can be revert to default withouth needing of external program.
Then it was released the fw 3009 and i upgrade my tv to this but then i discover that the 3009 fw has restrictions and if you won't to modify advanced service menu settings you have to use the rusamsungtvcommunicator by rainer.
But i can confirm that this simple procedure works on every fw from 3008.3 to 3017.1 (I tested by myself).
The problem is that from 3009 to 3017 fw you need to use the rusamsungtvcommunicator way because the extended service menu such as the model options are grayed out and you can't modify it.
In the 3008.3 instead you don't need the rusamsungtvcommunicator and you can done the procedure without cable or wireless connection.
the trick is to modify the model options from uc6000 to uc6600.
But i suggest you to modify it to uc6900 so you get internet@tv,pvr, and the animated menu when you switch channel, into mediaplayer and when you change the volume.
this procedure is safe i change this option in the service menu to every possible options and the uc 6900 is the best.
If you think to change it to uc7000 to get the 3d options don't do this the tv still work but the picture get worse and you don't get the 3d options because the chips for 3d is missing on this tv.
Q. Is it possible to save user's settings before entering service menu and restore them back once the hack is done ?
A. No this isn't possible if you want take picture of you settings.
So i suggest to update to 3008.3 than use the procedure of the wiki page to change model to UC6900.
If you have problem i'm here

Hi,
thank you all for the tips.
@tempinbox
1) My firmware seems to be very old (T-VALDEUC-1013.2 - 2010/05/28_001013):
do you think the much newer T-VALDEUC-3008.3 - 2011/04/13_003008 will
be compatible with my TV hardware ?
2) Also I found this link
http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/Old_%26_Good_Firmwares
where you can read that T-VALDEUC-3008.3 has got some restrictions
(widget hack doesn't work): what do you think about it ?
3) I had a look in the software upgrade men? and I found that there
is no alternative software (the "Alternative Software" item shows
"----/--/--_------"): is it a problem ? What do I risk if a
black-out happens during software upgrade ?
4) I can easily find a DLink DWA-140 USB Wi-Fi dongle in a shop nearby.
I don't know which is the hardware revision: are the problems for
hardware revision higher than B1 confirmed ?
5) If an USB Wi-Fi dongle works fine when the TV model is set to UC6000,
will it work fine also after changing the model to UC6600 / UC6900 ?
Thank you for being patient.

Re: Internet@tv on UE32C6000RPXZT (Italy)
despite the fact that you have addressed your questions to tempinbox, i will try to answer them..
1) simple answer: if its T-VALDEUC, its compatible
2) this becomes only important if you want to root your tv to get the nfs-mount and ssh access stuff, however there are still hacking methods witch work with firmwares newer than 3005.1, so no need for widget hack
3) i think this will only show a version if tv already found an update, so you could have to search for it first
4) i have no experiences with wifi@tv, i prefer cable connection..^^
5) should be no problem, but the "model" that you set in SM is only a preset for some of the settings of advanced SM, so you could just enter it and set the options that you wish to without the need to change your model...

Re: Internet@tv on UE32C6000RPXZT (Italy)
Thank you beatfreak for your answers. I would prefer a cable connection
too but, at home I cannot reach easily the TV with a cable from the
router, which is in another room ...
Maybe someone else wants to share his experience with a DWA-140
dongle or other compatible USB Wi-Fi dongle on a C6000 TV ?
Thanks in advance.
