Can I copy recorded movies to my laptop?

I have som recorded movies on my bluray recorder BD-D8200n with samygo firmware.
Can I somehow copy the movies from that to my my laptop?

I have tried that app, but apparently I don't understand how to use it.
I have tried to read the forum thread about, but just made me more confused.
Am I supposed to copy something to my bluray player before the app can detect it?
I have tried to install the extension through smart hub but that doesn't seem to do anything.
