blackout screen? Poor media player?

I know it is possible to black out the screen but I don?t have access to that menu while I play music. Is it possible to get around the issue somehow?

I use Wild Media Server to expose my media library via DLNA, but the Samsung client requires a lot of clicking and the library isn?t presented in a very good looking way. I would prefer something like what is available in the "TV-store" section (thumbnails etc..). Is there anything I can do here? I have tried the Plex client but for some strange reason it transcodes files that I know the TV has proper codec support for like RMVB.
