Re: HT-4500
hello ggros! How did you manage to downgrade ??? What you did exactly? Would you please explain the procedure and the settings...Big thanks !
Re: HT-4500
When did you do it? Can you explain exactly what did you do? Because it seems that you are the only person who managed to downgrade with the DNS hack. Do you know a FFB tool which could help? I found only this one viewtopic.php?t=2038 but it is only for TVsggros wrote:I tried again to change the DNS and it downloaded fine the firmware 1011. So if you get an error it may be because samsung somehow blocked this DNS hack?Sledziks wrote:Are you saying you can use the dns hack and download new firmware? Can you do it now?ggros wrote:I did a smart hub reset. Then added samygo server ip and launched widget sync again.
Maybe you can try to change firmware with the FFB tool or another hack?

Re: HT-4500
I followed the instructions in the post viewtopic.php?f=18&t=4244
Only thing I did not do was to change in router, I only changed DNS in bluray network settings as it was enough.
But like I said previously my firmware was 1010. The person that got error 800 was on 1017.
Nevertheless, so far I haven't managed to install samygo extensions, I get an error that I will try to catch and post the picture here.

Re: HT-4500
Hello guys,
The way I see, we can't downgrade because the latests F/W in our blurays, blocks connection to samygo server. A possible solution is the samygo changes his dns adress...What do you think guys???

Re: HT-4500
Yes, that's possible. Can you guys change the DNS address to check if it works?
Re: HT-4500
This is the best way to help us. PLS !!!
Re: HT-4500
Hey there,
I would like to ask the Admin, Dev, moderators of this site, if you PLEASE change the Samygo DNS server adress to see if the DNS server it's blocked by the F/W or not !!! Maybe we have a chance to downgrade !!!
Kind regards,
em'

Re: HT-4500
If Samsung blocked something, they probably hard coded the ip of upgrade server or they verify the certificate or something like that to prevent a download from *any* unofficial server. So even if samygo could change their ip (which would cost them money ) that would probably be useless.
As such you need to downgrade by another mean...

Re: HT-4500
As mentioned I took some pictures of error I get when I try to install samygo.
Download goes until progress bar is nearly complete and give error.
After that if you try again without a reboot you then get not enough space
Strange thing is that even when I downgrade my firmware using DNS hack it seems that smart hub is not fully downgraded.
