Don`t think your problem relates to the TV,
easiest way to test it, install another DLNA server and try it again with the same files witch didn`t work under mediatomb.

If you are on windows, or have access to it, try the Samsung server.

No problem is on DLNA because you could view this file via NFS right?

So don't use DLNA, use NFS instead.

I think everyone has similar problem but no one insist about using uPNP/DLNA. They just use NFS/Samba
